Lorton Community Action Center [LCAC] is a 501(c) 3 nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the quality
of life for underprivileged individuals, families and children in the Lorton, Virginia area.
LCAC's mission can be broken down into two categories - assistance and outreach. LCAC provides food, financial,
furniture and clothing assistance to individuals and families to prevent homelessness. LCAC's outreach services help
to prepare children and families for the future. Our services are geared toward assisting families and individuals
to "make it on their own." Our goal is to help families to improve their lives and assist them toward self-sufficiency.

Enter To Win a Year's Worth of Groceries!
Put bread on your table and that of a needy family for just a little dough! 
The Lorton Community Action Center (LCAC) is offering you a chance to win a year’s worth of groceries from Wegmans. This $5,000 gift card will not only put food on your table, but will help LCAC keep the shelves of its food pantry stocked, and continue to meet the growing demand brought on by this uncertain economy. This year alone, LCAC has already provided assistance to nearly 3,000 individuals (including more than 800 families).
Tickets are only $10 each or 6 for $50.
Odds of winning are very good - only 2,500 tickets will be sold. The drawing will be held at the conclusion of the Lorton 4th of July parade at Lorton Station Town Center. Simply complete the order form below and bring it by the LCAC building or send in your check and LCAC will mail your tickets directly to you. Tickets can also be purchased at LCAC or at the Act II Thrift Shop in Williamsburg Square. Finally, visit us in front of the Daily Grind each Sunday outside of the Lorton Farmer’s Market. LCAC Golf Tournament "Drives" Change for Local Families in Need!
Thanks to all our sponsors for “chipping” in for charity at the Lorton Community Action Center’s (LCAC) annual golf tournament on Friday, May 15th. Thankfully, the weather cooperated and everyone was able to “drive” change in the Lorton community! Thrift Shop Manager!
Lorton Community Action Center (LCAC) a non-profit social service agency located on Richmond Highway in Lorton is seeking an outgoing, organized individual with stellar customer service skills to manage its ACT II Resale Thrift Shop. The prospective employee would be responsible for the overall operation of the shop. The candidate must have an Associate Degree in business with five years of retail management experience. Thrift store experience a plus. This is a 40 hour per week (one evening/no weekends), salaried position with some benefits.
