PROGRAMS

LCAC offers a variety of programs, most of which are run through the Lorton Community Resource Center (LCRC), a center made possible from a joint partnership with LCAC, the Fairfax County Police and the Department of Family Services.

  • ESL Classes - LCAC reaches out to the community of Lorton to help those in need of learning how to read and write in English. Classes begin in September. Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced levels are offered to interested students. For more information contact LCAC.

  • Pro-bono Legal Services - sponsored by the Northern Virginia Bar Association, legal service is available for individuals and families. This monthly program requires a scheduled appointment. For more information, contact LCAC

  • Sports Programs - designed to give elementary students the opportunity to remain after school and play sports in a controlled environment. Contact each elementary school directly for more information.

  • Summer Lunches - sponsored by USDA, children grades K-12 who receive school-funded lunches are eligible for summer lunch every day. Contact Katrina Hamlett.

  • After School & Summer Programs - After school homework help and a variety of recreational programs are offered during the school year. Summer day camp is held during July and August. For more information, contact Katrina Hamlett.

  • Tutor Program - offering one on one tutoring to Lorton Station and William Halley Elementary students. For more information, contact Kathy Noone.
